Abstract [English]

The objective of the present study is to analyze the impact of modern sports and co-curricular activities on students' academic performance and mental health. Utilizing a mixed-methods research approach, data for this study was collected through surveys, observations, and comparative studies of student groups. The study investigated how participation in sports and activities influences students' learning outcomes, morale, self-confidence, and mental equilibrium. The results of the statistical and qualitative analyses clearly indicated that students who regularly participate in sports and co-curricular activities demonstrate relatively better academic performance. Furthermore, such students were found to exhibit lower stress levels, higher self-confidence, and more developed social and emotional skills. The study also revealed that sports activities foster discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities among students, thereby contributing to their holistic development. However, it was also observed that excessive engagement in these activities could impinge upon academic study time; therefore, maintaining a balance is essential. Consequently, sports and co-curricular activities should be systematically implemented in schools as an integral part of the curriculum. This study offers useful guidelines for teachers, parents, and education policymakers.

वर्तमान अध्ययन का उद्देश्य आधुनिक खेल एवं सह-पाठ्य गतिविधियों का छात्रों के शैक्षणिक प्रदर्शन तथा मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर प्रभाव का विश्लेषण करना है। इस शोध में मिश्रित अनुसंधान पद्धति का उपयोग करते हुए सर्वेक्षण, प्रेक्षण तथा छात्र समूहों के तुलनात्मक अध्ययन के माध्यम से डेटा संकलित किया गया। अध्ययन में यह जांचा गया कि खेल एवं गतिविधियों में भागीदारी छात्रों के सीखने के परिणामों, मनोबल, आत्मविश्वास तथा मानसिक संतुलन को किस प्रकार प्रभावित करती है। सांख्यिकीय एवं गुणात्मक विश्लेषण के परिणामों से यह स्पष्ट हुआ कि नियमित रूप से खेल एवं सह-पाठ्य गतिविधियों में भाग लेने वाले छात्रों का शैक्षणिक प्रदर्शन अपेक्षाकृत बेहतर होता है। इसके साथ ही, ऐसे छात्रों में तनाव का स्तर कम, आत्मविश्वास अधिक तथा सामाजिक और भावनात्मक कौशल अधिक विकसित पाए गए। अध्ययन से यह भी ज्ञात हुआ कि खेल गतिविधियाँ छात्रों में अनुशासन, टीमवर्क और नेतृत्व क्षमता को बढ़ावा देती हैं, जो उनके समग्र विकास में सहायक होती हैं। हालांकि, यह भी पाया गया कि गतिविधियों में अत्यधिक संलग्नता शैक्षणिक समय को प्रभावित कर सकती है, अतः संतुलन बनाए रखना आवश्यक है। इसलिए, विद्यालयों में खेल एवं सह-पाठ्य गतिविधियों को पाठ्यक्रम का अभिन्न अंग बनाकर व्यवस्थित रूप से लागू करना चाहिए। यह अध्ययन शिक्षकों, अभिभावकों तथा शिक्षा नीति-निर्माताओं के लिए उपयोगी दिशा-निर्देश प्रदान करता है।
